Day 11/12/13, Fri/Sat/Sun, 09/30 - 10/02/2011
Well! It's been a busy few days. We had some "issues" with the camper on Thursday night after arriving at Branson, MO, so Friday morning was pretty much a wash, nut we still had time to make the short trip to Springfield to check out the original Bass Pro Shops store. We also did some sightseeing around Branson, and had an overall great day. Saturday, we took a cruise on the Showboat Branson Belle, a beautiful, big paddle boat, and that included a nice lunch and entertainment. We couldn't have asked for better weather, and the lake was really beautiful. It was an all-afternoon affair from start to finish, so we were ready to go back to the camper and chill.
Got the camper ready for the road again last night, and travelled from Branson to Oklahoma City, OK, today. Arrived this afternoon at the Tinker AFB, OK, FamCamp, a lovely little campround on a little man-made pond (are you beginning to see a theme here?). Looks like there's a lot more to do here in Oklahoma City that we thought, so we may make this area part of a future adventure. But for tomorrow, we'll be going to the memorial/museum for the victims of the bombing in 1995, and there's also a river walk similar to the one in San Antonio that sounds really interesting.
