Friday, 18 Nov 2011, we went to see Don Williams in concert at the Texas Station casino.  For those of you who don't know of him, he's a country western singer who retired several years ago, then came out of retirement last year after he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.  Anyway, I think his voice was even better than it was 30 years ago.  We really enjoyed the concert.  His singing took me back to the cassette tapes we used to listen to on our many trips from Plattsburgh to Bethel - I picture us as we drove through Jefferson, NH on our way to Maine.  Can you hear him girls??
   Thanksgiving we enjoyed the traditional Thanksgiving meal at the Aliante Station casino's buffet.  It s absolutely delicious.  Every bit as good as homemade, and the company can't be beat.  : )
   Friday, 25 Nov 2011, we saw comedienne Kathleen Madigan at the South Point casino.  What a riot!  If you haven't heard her, dial her up on you tube - you'll be glad you did.  We had a great time.

Who says people from the desert southwest don't know how to celebrate Christmas??  Look at all the work our neighbors across the street put into their decorations - and we get to enjoy them!  Tis the season........
