Lots of fun having Ty here. We've been on the go trying to fit everything in before he leaves, meanwhile catching up on his life, and just enjoying having him here.
Thursday we went to Treasure Island, the volcano show at Mirage, Harah's, the Venetian and Palazzo, and finally, to the Phantom of the Opera. What an amazing show!! It was definitely the show of a lifetime, and extra special because we got to see it together. We were so wound up from that, we went to the outside observation deck at the Stratosphere (800+ feet up) and looked at the lights all over the city and watched crazy people ride rides that put them out over the side of the building !!!
Friday we went to the lion exhibit at the MGM casino (they were sleeping), the Luxor and Excalibur casinos, then to the shark reef at Mandalay Bay. That was fun - saw lots of interesting sharks/fish, etc.
Yesterday we went to Hoover Dam and the Lake Mead Recreation Area. It was another beautiful day to be outside, and really enjoyed pointing out all the interesting sights to Ty. We came home to take a break and have something to eat, then back out to the strip so that Ty could enjoy the show on Freemont Street (music with videos showing on a canapy above the street). He decided to try the zipline that runs the length of the canapy, and he really enjoyed that. He started out at 5 stories high, and "zipped" on a cable down the street to the height of 2 stories.
Today we spent the day at the Valley of Fire, one of our favorite places, and now I think one of Ty's too. Tonight we're just chillin.

Ty didn't tell me about the zipline! How very cool. Glad you are all having such fun.
