We left Phoenix yesterday, but I posted a couple of pictures so that you could see the orange tree that was right outside our camper door, as well as the saguaro cactus that was about 25 feet tall. The birds built lots of birdhouses in the cactus, so they were all around.
We had a pretty quick and uneventful trip to Davis-Monthan AFB, so that was nice. We like what we've seen of Tucson, but mostly I love the base. It's just the right size (for me) and so well kept. The Air Force really does know how to take care of its facilities. There's a DIY RV wash, (a car wash on steroids) so we can get that done before we leave. The FAMCAMP campground is immaculate and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The sites are much bigger than those in Phoenix, and it has anything you could want, even a DIY DOG WASH station. Unbelievable!
