Unfortunately, the bad weather in Del Rio was just the beginning for us. We definitely picked the wrong week to travel accross the southwest. But we arrived in San Antonio on Saturday, and stayed in another really nice campground. The city bus stops right outside the campground, and that seems to be the way most of the campers travel, so we took advantage of it too.
We've wanted to go back to San Antonio since Jordan's graduation from basic training, and we weren't disappointed. Despite the weather (we managed to work things in around the rain) we went back to the River Walk and had a nice dinner on the upper balcony of the restaurant that looked out over the river. I think we'd both forgotten that it was St Patrick's day. The river was colored green, and the the place was mobbed with people in green tee shirts so we were really lucky to find a table. 
Went back again the next day so that we could see the Alamo and take double decker bus ride through town. Then we went back to the river walk to take the boat ride down the river and another nice dinner outside. We were really looking forward to seeing the river walk at night all lit up, and it was really nice. Once again, really windy and chilly, so we made it an early night.
