Monday, we took a trip north to Cathedral Gorge State Park. Beautiful colors and rock formations.
The weather has finally turned cold this week (60's), but with the sun shining, it's still a great day to be outside. Not so much for the next week though. A cold front is coming through tonight, and we're supposed to have winds with gusts up to 60mph. Yikes, not looking forward to that.
Anyway, we decided to take advantage of the sunshine and check out some more casinos on the strip. We finally found a good place to park where we don't have to worry about clearance for the truck. The Bellagio has an outside lot at the top of their parking garage, so it makes it really easy for us.
We went through the Bellagio, but didn't tour it today as we wanted to get outside for their water show. We made it in plenty of time, and oh my gosh ! it was just gorgeous. Can't wait to see it at night with lights etc. Then we walked next door to the Colliseum. HUGE! It's spread over several buildings, and the decor is just fabulous. Very ornate, classy, beautiful. Not sure why, but we decided to keep on going down the street to the Mirage. We saw some of it, but will have to go back for sure, as by that time, we were plum tuckered out, especially since we knew we'd have to walk all the way back to the truck. :-) That's OK, it's good for us, right? Can't wait to go back at night, though.
There's a craft fair (200 vendors) in the city this weekend. You know I'm looking forward to that!!
