Arrived in Carrabelle, FL on Friday. We decided to drive a little off the beaten path to see more of the beaches, etc., and it was a nice ride. Carbelle is a tiny town with a very large and busy campground. Surprisingly busy, as that area is know as the "Forgotten Coastline". Judging by the campground, I'd say it's not too forgotten, but it remains a small town. We backtracked a bit the first day to visit Apalachicola and Eastpoint. Another huge, beautiful bridge - not a lot else, unfortunately. But it gave us a chance to unwind. There was a nice beach across from the campground. The night before we left, we were treated once again, to a spectacular light display and torrential rain. Fortunately, it was pretty well cleared up by the time we got underway, and stayed nice for the day's trip.
