Spent a wonderful afternoon driving through the South Dakota Badlands, SE of Rapid City. We were looking forward to it, and weren't disappointed. It's really hard to imagine what the first settlers/explorers thought when they saw them for the first time as they made their way across the west. And to think they look pretty much the same today as they did then is even more amazing.
