Spent about 5 days in Cheyenne, WY, at F.E. Warren AFB FAMCAMP. Good campground for a short stay, and it gave us a chance to relax and check out some of our old haunts. Of course we had dinner at the Little Bear restaurant, our very favorite steakhouse in all of our travels, and had a nice visit with the owner, who explained that the restaurant had survived a serious fire since we were there 5 years ago, resulting in the changes we saw that night. When we told her we first visited over 40 years ago, she said she actually has a lot of customers who come back after many years, and they always enjoy hearing about the great memories people have of the restaurant.
There are more antelope on the base than ever. They're looking pretty healthy, and are everywhere. People don't bother them in the least. This time I got some pictures a long way from the weapons storage area, so we didn't have to worry about almost being arrested and my camera confiscated like last time. (!)
